
Mamdani rules out constitutional shortcut to White House bid
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani dismissed talk of amending the Constitution to allow a presidential run, saying the document is fine as is and noting he’s ineligible as a naturalized citizen born abroad. He’ll stay focused on NYC politics, celebrated three endorsed candidates’ wins in recent NYC primaries, and avoided endorsing (or rejected) prison-abolition policies while stressing that safety remains a priority.
