Amy's Kitchen shutters Santa Rosa plant, 260 jobs cut in restructuring
Amy's Kitchen, a about $1 billion organic-food maker, is closing its Santa Rosa manufacturing plant and laying off about 260 workers as part of a broader restructuring to shift production to facilities in Medford, Oregon, and Pocatello, Idaho. The Santa Rosa operation will wind down in phases while the company concentrates on its strongest product categories; HQ remains in Petaluma. Affected employees will receive severance, job-placement assistance, and counseling as the changes unfold, with further layoffs at the Pocatello plant planned by year’s end.
