Despite the 3.0 update adding new features and storage improvements, Animal Crossing: New Horizons still suffers from a major flaw: tool durability. Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Switch 2 Edition returns with a two-pronged update—a free 3.0 patch and a paid £4.19 upgrade. The paid bundle adds a busted megaphone for voice interactions, mouse support, 12-player multiplayer, built-in GameChat, and a resolution boost but no framerate increase. The free patch delivers a new island hotel, storage/inventory improvements, and a communal island-building feature. Overall, the 3.0 updates aren’t essential but are a welcome nudge back into ACNH’s world, with the free content offering the more meaningful improvements; the price of the paid upgrade makes it a questionable value for many.)
