Apple restores Apple Watch app switcher in watchOS 27.2 beta
Apple has reinstated the app switcher on the Apple Watch in the watchOS 27.2 beta, reversing a controversial removal in the initial watchOS 27 release. The feature, which allowed users to quickly switch between recently used apps via a double-click of the Digital Crown, was replaced by a new 'Dynamic App Grid' in watchOS 27. While the app switcher is now available in the beta, its inclusion in the final release is not guaranteed. Meanwhile, Apple has officially discontinued the Walkie-Talkie feature, and a separate watchOS 27.0.1 update has been released to fix unexpected restart bugs on the latest Series 12 and Ultra 4 models.
