Azula’s Dual Modes Bring Chaos and Control to Avatar Legends
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game reveals Azula has two distinct fighting styles—Focused Mode, a precise, grounded approach with a fireball and oil traps, and Firelord Mode, a chaotic, high-power offense with erratic movement; it’s unclear if players can freely switch between modes mid-fight. Sokka adds a mobility-focused kit, able to cancel normals into Flow options (but not into C attacks) and wielding his club, Meteorite Sword, and boomerang. The game launches July 2 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC for $30, with 12 characters at launch (Aang, Korra, Zuko, Katara, Toph, Sokka, Azula, Zaheer, Fire Lord Ozai, Avatar Kyoshi, and Avatar State Aang/Korra as separate fighters) and DLC fighters planned.
