Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 Goes Electric With Tri-Motor Power
Mercedes-Benz reintroduces the CLA 45 as a fully electric tri-motor with 612 hp continuous (680 hp peak) and 1,298 lb-ft, launching 0–62 mph in 3 seconds and a top speed of up to 168 mph with the Dynamic Plus Package; it uses a 94 kWh pack delivering about 416 miles (sedan) or 397 miles (shooting brake) on WLTP, supports 330 kW charging to 80% in 22 minutes, and can run in rear-drive mode after disconnecting the front motor. The interior carries familiar Mercedes tech, but the Shooting Brake seats only two in the rear and weighs around 5,060 pounds, with simulated engine sounds and gear changes continuing the ICE experience in EV form.
