"Doom Runs on Gut Bacteria: A Power-Crazed Breakthrough"

MIT researcher Lauren "Ren" Ramlan has managed to create a simulation of E. coli bacteria displaying the iconic video game Doom, using the bacteria as 1-bit pixels in a 32x48 array. However, the process is extremely slow, with displaying a single frame taking 70 minutes and a full reset taking over 8 hours. Playing through the average Doom game using this method would take nearly 600 years. While Ramlan is optimistic about potential improvements, for now, E. coli's use as a display is more suited to slow-moving art than interactive entertainment.
