
Decades of Aerobic Exercise May Build Hidden Resilience in Aging Bodies
Healthy adults over 55 who exercised regularly for 30 years showed higher vitality capacity than inactive peers, with the clearest differences in resting heart-rate variability and blood-oxygen saturation. The study is small and observational, so it cannot prove causation or determine optimal exercise, and results may not generalize beyond healthy older adults.
