Griner files for divorce in Georgia, seeks custody and assets split
WNBA star Brittney Griner filed for divorce from wife Cherelle in Fulton County, Georgia, on July 30, citing an irretrievably broken marriage since July 24. The couple, married in 2018, share a son (born 2024) and are asking for joint legal and physical custody, child support, and an equitable division of assets and debts. Griner plays for the Connecticut Sun in 2026, with the team moving from Mohegan Sun to Houston in 2027.
