Apple says iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max cases aren’t officially compatible with the iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max because the 18 Pro is slightly thicker by about 0.1 mm. In practice, however, most cases (including many from Apple and third parties) should fit across generations, with only occasional exceptions.
