
Swift and Beyoncé Lead 2026 National Recording Registry Inductees
Taylor Swift's 1989, Beyoncé's Single Ladies, Chaka Khan's I Feel for You, Vince Gill's Go Rest High on That Mountain, and The Go-Go's Beauty and the Beat are among 25 recordings added to the Library of Congress National Recording Registry for 2026, chosen for their cultural, historical or aesthetic significance. The class also includes Ray Charles’ Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music, Reba McEntire’s Rumor Has It, Weezer’s The Blue Album, Gladys Knight and the Pips, The Byrds, José Feliciano and Paul Anka, plus notable items like the Doom soundtrack and the Muhammad Ali–Joe Frazier radio broadcast. Swift and Beyoncé earn their first registry entries this year; more than 3,000 nominations were submitted.
