Cher seeks neutral conservator to manage son’s trust amid addiction and arrests
Cher has filed for a financial conservatorship in Los Angeles to appoint a neutral third party to manage her adult son Elijah Blue Allman’s trust, citing severe drug addiction, deteriorating mental health, and mounting financial and legal issues. Allman, who is hospitalized for psychiatric treatment ahead of criminal proceedings stemming from two New Hampshire arrests, allegedly spends trust distributions on drugs, has caused substantial damages and debts, and Cher is seeking only financial control—not a conservatorship of his person. The filing follows a prior rejected bid from 2023–24.
