Hamilton seals Ferrari’s long-awaited win in Barcelona
Lewis Hamilton won the 66-lap Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, delivering Ferrari their first F1 victory since his 2025 move, aided by smart strategy and a virtual safety car, finishing about 20 seconds ahead of Mercedes’ George Russell. Kimi Antonelli briefly overtook Russell before retiring on lap 62, widening Antonelli’s lead over Hamilton to 41 points and over Russell to 50 as Hamilton chases a record eighth world title. At 41, Hamilton is noted as the oldest F1 race winner since Jack Brabham in 1970.
