
Russell Edges Leclerc in FP2 as Monza Heats Up Italian GP Practice
Mercedes’ George Russell topped FP2 at Monza with a 1:22.559, edging Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc after Leclerc had led FP1; Kimi Antonelli split the two, while Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton rounded out the top five as teams switched to soft tyres for late runs. Max Verstappen was ninth in his first session of the weekend, with Leclerc spinning at the second chicane and an impeding incident involving Lance Stroll to be reviewed by the FIA.
