Wizards of the Coast announced a new 24-hour sales window for the Secret Lair x MSCHF: The Zeta Set on December 9, 2026, following a failed launch that left many customers without confirmation. The company apologized for a queue pause that stranded thousands of users, confirmed that all orders placed during the new window will be fulfilled, and offered existing buyers the option to cancel their pre-orders by October 9, 2026.
Wizards of the Coast admitted the launch of The Zeta Set was a disaster, citing technical failures that disrupted the sale queue and checkout process. The Secret Lair team apologized to customers, promising to investigate whether the issues stemmed from internal systems or external tampering. While the sale eventually resumed and sold out, secondary reports indicate significant frustration among fans regarding incomplete orders and potential security loopholes.
Wizards of the Coast has revealed the full 80-card Dândân Secret Lair deck for the Chaos Vault drop, scheduled to release March 16 at 9 a.m. PT. The list preserves the fan-favorite Dândân mechanic and includes staples like Accumulated Knowledge, Memory Lapse, Brainstorm, Chart a Course, Day’s Undoing, Capture of Jingzhou, and Control Magic, while swapping Supplant Form for Control Magic and replacing Diminishing Returns with Day’s Undoing to boost late-game power. The deck adds utility lands such as Haunted Fengraf and a heavy emphasis on lands (20 Islands, plus other fetchable mana sources), with Vision Charm omitted. Priced at $99.99, the set carries an estimated reprint value near $110 and features 46 borderless foil inclusions, including 20 foil Islands, boosting potential collectability. Aimed at the Chaos Vault launch, the piece notes the format’s depth and the likely quick sell-out for collectors and players eager for Dândân gameplay.
Secret Lair x Brain Dead: New Earth Mentality Chaos Vault dropped, featuring 10 cards priced at $29.99–$39.99; in an unusual turn, two missing designs—Miren, the Moaning Well and Master of the Feast—show up as bonus cards on some sheets. Miren’s reprint could carry a high premium, though Secret Lair prints typically maintain value. Additional bonuses include Tidal Barracuda and Invasion Plans, but pull rates and final market prices for these extras are still unknown, and the overall value of the drop remains uncertain.
Wizards of the Coast debuts the Prints Charming drop in the Chaos Vault, offering the same four-card set (Nature's Lore, Skyshroud Claim, Wood Elves, Dryad Arbor) at multiple price points with no extra content, available in both non-foil and foil editions at MagicSecretLair.com.
