The 'Lanterns' finale omitted John Stewart's Green Lantern costume to preserve the emotional weight of his farewell to Hal Jordan, a decision showrunner Chris Mundy confirmed was intentional rather than a production oversight.
Lanterns is averaging nearly 19 million global viewers per episode, with the seventh episode reaching 7 million U.S. viewers. Lanterns airs Sundays on HBO/HBO Max, but the fate of a second season remains uncertain.
