
Huskers Secure Historic Outright Big Ten Softball Crown
No. 3 Nebraska softball clinched its first outright Big Ten regular-season title with a 10-4 win at Penn State, pushing NU to 42-6 overall and 22-1 in conference. The Huskers erupted for six runs in the sixth inning, led by Kacie Hoffmann (2 hits, 2 RBIs) and Lauren Camenzind (2 RBIs, 3 runs), with Hannah Coor adding 2 RBIs and Jesse Farrell/Nessa McMillen contributing doubles. Alexis Jensen (20-2) earned the win over five innings, Jordy Frahm secureda 10th save, and the team extended its win streak to 17 games (31 of 32 dating back) while maintaining the nation’s longest active conference winning streak at 15. A rematch with Penn State is set for May 3 at 11 a.m. CT on BTN.
