Storrie Lands First Emmy Nomination for SNL Hosting, Despite Heated Rivalry Ineligibility
Connor Storrie earned his first Emmy nomination in the Best Guest Actor in a Comedy category for hosting Saturday Night Live, even though Heated Rivalry was ineligible due to Canadian financing; the nod recognizes his SNL hosting on the Feb. 28 episode (which featured Mumford & Sons and a cameo by Hudson Williams). The Creative Arts Emmys are slated for Sept. 5–6 ahead of the televised ceremony on Sept. 12. Storrie has since lined up projects like the A24 comedy Peaked and a Criminal Minds Evolution arc, and he and Williams remain notable figures from Heated Rivalry.
