NASA's Hubble Telescope Captures Stunning Image of "Cosmic Reef"
NASA shared captivating images captured by the Hubble telescope of a "cosmic reef" in the constellation Dorado, resembling a coral reef in Earth's oceans. The images show two neighboring clouds of cosmic dust and gas, including the giant red nebula NGC 2014 and the smaller blue nebula NGC 2020. These nebulae are part of the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, and are home to massive stars. The Hubble telescope, launched in 1990, has made over 1.4 million observations and traveled over 4.4 billion miles in its 30-year lifetime.
