NASA's Crawler-Transporter 2, which was originally designed to carry the Apollo Saturn V rockets, has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the heaviest self-powered vehicle in the world, weighing in at 6.65 million pounds. The vehicle was upgraded as part of the Artemis program and was used to deliver NASA's Artemis 1 launch vehicle to the pad for the mission's November 2022 liftoff. The crawler will next be used to support Artemis 2, NASA's first mission to send astronauts to the moon in more than 50 years.
