Ferrand-Prévot Defends Aero Position After TT Setback
Defending Tour de France Femmes champion Pauline Ferrand-Prévot finished 34th in stage 4’s time trial, 2:13 behind yellow‑jersey leader Marlen Reusser and 1:56 behind rival Demi Vollering. She rode an elevated aero position—explained as the fastest setup for her after wind-tunnel and track testing and considering past iliac artery surgeries—and said she did her best despite not feeling great on the bike. With the deficit large, she and Visma-Lease a Bike plan to close the gap and attack on forthcoming stages, including Mont Ventoux.
