
Empire State Building daredevils released on supervised terms as court date nears
Two Moscow-based climbers, Angela Nikolau and Ivan Kuznetsov (Beerkus), who scaled the Empire State Building to propose, were arraigned on charges including reckless endangerment, burglary and criminal mischief and were released on supervised release until Aug. 24. Investigators say they accessed the building via a broken 104th‑floor door and a hatch after allegedly casing the joint, while officials emphasize the rescue was dangerous for responders; the defense says the case is overcharged.
