NVIDIA's Real-Time 22ms Tool Targets Synthetic Video in Newsworkflows
NVIDIA launches the Synthetic Video Detector as a NIM microservice to help editors distinguish real from AI-generated footage, examining 1080p video frame-by-frame to output a synthetic-content score. It runs on RTX hardware with processing as fast as 22 milliseconds per 1080p frame, and claims up to 92% accuracy on uncompressed video (drops with compression), aiming to augment existing verification practices and enable deployment across thousands of deployments via Wowza integration.
