Bronze Age Sword Stands Upright After Detectorist Discovery in Poland
A hobbyist metal detectorist in northern Poland uncovered a remarkably preserved 2,700-year-old bronze sword standing upright in sandy soil. Dating to the Late Bronze Age (900–700 BC), the weapon was recovered by archaeologists for study and will be transferred to a museum; the destination has not yet been decided.
