Ace Combat 8 Explores 30 Years of Flight Craft in New Developer Diary
Bandai Namco and Project Aces released an eight-minute Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve developer diary that highlights the series’ three decades of flight expertise, the player’s role as squad leader on the Endurance carrier in a Strangereal war, and new immersion features like a first-person perspective in story scenes, photorealistic aircraft and sky rendering, and the Cloudly/Lumen weather system. The diary also explains the game’s inclusive goals for new and returning players and confirms a 2026 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
