Apple kicks off public beta for iOS 27 with Siri AI and speed boosts
Apple has released the first public beta of iOS 27 (and iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, macOS 27, and tvOS 27), opening testing to non-developers ahead of a fall stable release. iPhone 11 and newer remain compatible; Macs with Intel aren’t supported for macOS 27, and some older iPads are dropped. The update introduces a Liquid Glass design, faster app launches (~30%), faster Photos loads (~70%), and quicker AirDrop transfers (~80%), with Siri AI as a central feature (EU limitations apply). Betas can have bugs, so install at your own risk via the Apple Beta Software Program.
