RayNeo announced two new smart-glass lines: the IO, a lightweight, AI-enabled productivity glasses with a monochrome display and two-day battery life; and the GT/GT Max, portable monitor glasses aimed at entertainment with features like a 59° field of view and Dolby Vision support. Both lines arrive on September 4, 2026, with prices not yet announced.
RayNeo unveiled two AR lines: the lightweight iO glasses for glanceable AI tasks (2-day battery, 55-language live translation with ~1s latency, teleprompter, ambient life log, 4-mic array, bone-conduction mic, IP54, no onboard speakers) and the GT/GT Max for immersive multimedia (full-color microOLED displays up to 231 inches for GT and up to 307 inches for GT Max, 46°–59° field of view, 3DoF modes, Dolby Vision via the RayNeo Pocket TV Pro). The Pocket TV Pro Android dongle powers media with 3GB RAM, 64GB storage, up to 1TB microSD, and about 5.5 hours of streaming. Netflix supports Dolby Vision for select titles, but to watch in DV you must have a Premium plan, a DV-enabled display and compatible devices, an HDCP 2.2–compliant HDMI cable, at least 15 Mbps internet, and the Netflix app settings set to High with HDR enabled; otherwise you’ll see standard streaming even if the title bears a Dolby Vision logo.

At Computex 2026, Alienware unveils new OLED gaming monitors: the 34-inch AW3426DW uses QD-OLED with 1,300-nit peak brightness and 280 Hz, plus a 39-inch AW3926QW 5K ultrawide at 165 Hz with 1,300 nits and RGB Tandem tech, plus high-end ports and a KVM option. Both sport HDR (Dolby Vision), FreeSync Premium Pro, and G-Sync, backed by a three-year warranty with burn‑in protection. Two affordable VA LCDs—AW3426DWM and AW3226DM—arrive in July at up to 240 Hz/1440p. The entry-level 27-inch QD-OLED remains $399.99; pricing for the 5K model wasn’t announced.
TCL expands its SQD-Mini LED lineup with its first RGB-Mini LED RM9L, priced from $8,000 for the 85-inch model (up to $30,000 for 115 inches), while QM8L and QM7L SQD-Mini LED TVs are available or preorder at starting prices of $2,500 (65") and $1,200 (55"), respectively; the RM9L features discrete RGB LEDs, anti-reflective panels, up to 6,000 nits brightness, Dolby Vision 2 after a software update, Bang & Olufsen audio, and Google TV with Gemini.

Amazon Prime Video is restructuring its plans: basic Prime Video will be capped at 1080p, while 4K/UHD requires the new Ultra tier at $4.99 more per month. Samsung is introducing its first OLED TVs smaller than 55 inches, the 42-inch and 48-inch Samsung S90D models, which lack Dolby Vision HDR. Despite this, the 48-inch S90D impresses with bright and rich images, capable handling of challenging HDR scenes, impressive sound, and vibrant colors. The lack of Dolby Vision doesn't seem to be an issue due to the TV's smart tone mapping. It also features a 144Hz screen, 4K 120Hz or 144Hz gaming support, and other gaming-friendly features. Pricing is yet to be announced, but the TV is expected to be a strong contender in the 48-inch TV market.
Amazon Prime Video's free tier has lost Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos surround sound capabilities, with the company confirming that this is a deliberate move to push users towards the ad-free paid option. Free users will now experience HDR10 for video and Dolby Digital 5.1 for audio, following the recent introduction of ad breaks in the US. This change may lead to dissatisfaction among free users and potentially drive them to upgrade to the paid tier.
