The City of Sturgeon Bay and Door County Invasive Species Team are investigating the possible presence of Asian Jumping Worms at the Sturgeon Bay Compost Site in Door County, Wisconsin. These invasive worms can quickly transform soil into dry pellets, affecting plant survival. The site has been closed to prevent further spread, but concerns remain about the mulch that has already been taken by visitors.
