Dune Awakening drops mandatory PvP as 80% skip it, private servers on the way
Dune: Awakening is removing PvP as a mandatory endgame, deleting PvP zones in Hagga Basin and offering a PvP-free Deep Desert as an alternative; a separate PvP-enabled Deep Desert with a 2.5x resource multiplier remains for those who crave combat. The studio notes that about 80% of lifetime players never engaged with PvP, and private server hosting will be tested soon with customizable PvP options, altered harvesting rates, and potential character transfers to support long-term community play.
