Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds announces Ascendance, a massive expansion that adds a floating Skybound Eyrie and Elder Dragons, introduces new mechanics like updraft-based traversal and the Booster Bracer, and is slated for a 2027 release; a Nintendo Switch 2 port is also in the works, potentially including Ascendance in that version.

Capcom has announced that the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion Title Update 5 will launch on April 20, featuring new monsters Amatsu and Risen Shagaru Magala, Anomaly Research Quests, Special Investigations, and paid downloadable content. The update will also increase the Anomaly Investigations level cap, add two Risen Elder Dragons to Anomaly Research Quests, and update the Melding Pot. The expansion is available now for Switch and PC via Steam, and will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Microsoft Store on April 28.
