NASA Plans Low-Altitude Airborne Research Over Houston This June
NASA will run a five-aircraft, low-altitude airborne research mission over Houston from June 3–13 as part of the Student Airborne Research Program, using remote-sensing instruments (lidars, SAR, spectrometers) to study atmospheric gases, boundary-layer changes near the coast, and land-water processes, with some flights over the Gulf of Mexico; real-time flight tracking is available online.
