The move follows Demis Hassabis stepping down as DeepMind CEO and signals a pivot toward more competitive coding-oriented AI, with Brin involved in accelerating shipping. Gemini Flash reportedly tested on an internal coding tool called Jetski and is said to outperform Claude Opus in coding tasks.
