Geneva Lake boat capsizing claims three children's lives as ages are released
Geneva Lake police released the ages of the people aboard a boat that capsized during a severe storm. A 47-year-old man operating the boat with 9 others was struck by large waves, causing it to capsize and trapping three children—a 10-year-old girl, a 7-year-old girl, and a 6-year-old boy—in the sunken vessel at 32 feet. They died, while the other survivors included a 75-year-old man, a 73-year-old woman, a 49-year-old woman, a 46-year-old man, a 44-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy from Batavia and Wheaton, Illinois and Fontana, Wisconsin. The incident is under investigation.
