Nothing’s 4a Duo Dares Minimalist Phone Aesthetics

Nothing launches the Phone 4a and 4a Pro, two midrange phones that reject minimalist aesthetics with transparent backs and bold notification glyphs. The 4a uses a Glyph Bar and Snapdragon 7S Gen 4, while the 4a Pro sports a metal unibody with a Glyph Matrix and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, a larger 6.83-inch display, and IP65 durability. Prices start at £349/$465 for the 4a (not sold in the US) and $499/$599 for the 4a Pro, with preorders on March 13 and shipments starting March 13 (4a) and March 27 (4a Pro). Both have 50MP triple rear cameras, 32MP front, and 50W charging; wireless charging is not offered.

Nothing Phone 4A reveals brighter Glyph Bar rear lighting

Nothing revealed a rear render of the Phone 4A, showcasing a new Glyph Bar lighting strip to the right of the triple camera. The bar uses nine mini-LEDs (presented as seven square lights: six white and one red) and Nothing says it’s about 40% brighter than the Phone 3A’s lights with a “natural, bleed-free glow.” The company hasn’t shared full specs or pricing yet, but the phone will run a Snapdragon chip and is expected to launch on March 5; Nothing’s Carl Pei has said there won’t be a Phone 4 this year, so the Phone 3 remains the flagship for now.
