Arizona's first Buc-ee’s opens in Goodyear amid traffic plan
Arizona’s first Buc-ee’s opened in Goodyear on June 22, drawing long lines before a 6 a.m. start. The 74,000-square-foot travel center with 120 fueling bays operates 24/7 and is expected to create about 200 local jobs. A city-backed traffic plan routed opening-day traffic along a designated Buc-ee’s route with ramp closures and lane restrictions near I-10 and Bullard Ave, and visitors are urged to carpool or ride-share and expect delays; a ribbon-cutting at 8 a.m. was streamed live for those unable to attend.
