FDA upgrades blueberry recall to highest risk amid E. coli cases
The FDA has elevated the recall of GreenWise frozen blueberries to the highest risk level after E. coli contamination was linked to at least 12 illnesses and 4 hospital visits across eight states (AL, FL, GA, KY, NC, SC, TN, VA). The affected products include GreenWise Organic Whole Blueberries (10-oz and 48-oz) and GreenWise Organic Whole Mixed Berries (10-oz and 48-oz) with specific UPCs and best-by dates through Feb 9, 2028. Consumers who purchased these should not eat them and should seek care if experiencing symptoms such as severe stomach cramps, watery or bloody diarrhea, or vomiting.
