Anthony Hopkins pivots to classical composition with new album Life is a Dream
Anthony Hopkins, 88, is shifting from acting to composing, signing with Decca Classics to release a classical album titled Life is a Dream on Aug. 21. The collection gathers decades of Hopkins’s compositions performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra and conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, with the first single Bracken Road. Described by the label as an intimate musical memoir inspired by his Welsh upbringing and life experiences, the project marks a 65-year career in film transitioning into a major musical endeavor.
