IDF Admits Firing on Hind Rajab’s Car, Launches Criminal Probe in First Post-War Review
The Israeli military has admitted for the first time that it fired on the vehicle carrying 5-year-old Hind Rajab in January 2024, opening a criminal investigation into her killing. This admission reverses a previous denial and follows a broader review of 150 incidents, which also resulted in a criminal probe into the deaths of 15 Palestinian paramedics in Rafah. While the military acknowledged errors in these cases, it declined to pursue criminal charges in other high-profile incidents involving aid workers from World Central Kitchen and Doctors Without Borders, citing disciplinary measures or closed files instead.
