Airline Tightens Rules: Headphones Required or Risk Removal
United Airlines updated its Contract of Carriage to require passengers to wear headphones when listening to audio or video on flights, with the carrier allowed to refuse transport permanently or temporarily and remove passengers who don’t comply. If travelers lack headphones, they can request a free pair if available. The change, tied to Starlink’s rollout, reinforces the airline’s headphone policy alongside existing in-flight guidelines.
