SpaceX plans to conduct more ambitious in-flight tests on its next Starship/Super Heavy vehicle launch, targeting a launch no earlier than March 14 pending regulatory approvals. The upcoming flight will include new elements such as in-space engine burns, payload bay door operations, and propellant transfer tests, essential for future missions including satellite deployment and lunar landings. Despite concerns about the pace of development, NASA and SpaceX are working together on the Human Landing System version of Starship, with the goal of supporting the first crewed Artemis landing no earlier than September 2026.
