Israeli Soldier of Indian Origin Among Those Killed in Gaza Strip

A 34-year-old Indian-origin Israeli soldier, Master Sgt. (res.) Gil Daniels, was killed during fighting in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip. Gil, who had recently gotten engaged, was among two other soldiers killed in the conflict. The Indian Jewish Heritage Centre expressed condolences, highlighting the loss of many soldiers in the ongoing war. At least four Indian-origin Israeli soldiers have been killed since October 7, with a total of 86 Israeli soldiers reported dead in the fighting.
