Floating with Palau’s Stingless Golden Jellyfish
In Palau’s Jellyfish Lake, golden jellyfish thrive in a three-layer, sun-following ecosystem that visitors reach by boat and hike to with strict conservation rules; snorkeling is allowed only in the top layer to protect the delicate, stingless jellies, which rebounded after El Niño pressures and helped the lake reopen in 2019.
