Judge blocks Trump name at Kennedy Center, saying Congress must authorize memorials
U.S. District Judge Christopher R. Cooper reaffirmed that the Kennedy Center cannot add Trump's name or related inscriptions or rename surrounding areas without Congress, blocking a board’s bid to recognize his renovations. The board’s latest attempt is viewed as an end-run around the court order, and Cooper noted there’s no proof donations depend on Trump’s name; the board is set to meet and could shutter the center if unresolved.
