Liberia charges ex-VP Jewel Howard-Taylor in drug-trafficking probe
Liberia's justice ministry has charged former Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor with drug trafficking and money laundering after detaining her at Roberts International Airport; prosecutors say she illegally imported, sold and transported controlled drugs and helped facilitate trafficking, as part of a crackdown on transnational drug networks, with three foreign nationals charged in absentia as part of the same case.
