Luna, Jack Russell Terrier Missing in Yellowstone for 34 Days, Rescued and Reunited with Owners
Luna, a 10-year-old Jack Russell terrier missing in Yellowstone National Park since September 10, was successfully rescued on October 14 after surviving 34 days in the wilderness. The dog, who escaped her family's cabin after a housekeeper accidentally opened the door, was captured using a live trap baited with family scent. Rescuers noted Luna was underweight but alert, having survived in a park populated by grizzly bears and wolves.
