The Complexities of Jeon Do Yeon's 'Kill Boksoon'
Kill Boksoon, a Korean action thriller film, is now streaming on Netflix. The film follows the story of Boksoon, a single mother and a contract killer working for an agency called MK Ent. As Boksoon juggles her upcoming contract renewal with MK Ent. and her family life, she finds herself on her company's kill list and pursued by her colleagues. The film has a talented ensemble cast and invests in the emotional arc of its characters, but its overly showy and excessively long action sequences and morally dubious territory hold it back.
