Dodgers snag lefty Kris Bubic from Royals to bolster depth
The Dodgers acquired left-hander Kris Bubic from the Royals in exchange for Carlos Duran, adding pitching depth as Bubic continues a throwing-program rehab from elbow/shoulder issues and sits on the 60-day injured list (not on the Dodgers’ 40-man roster until activated). Bubic, 28, owns a career 4.14 ERA in 522 innings and posted a 4.11 ERA over 50 1/3 innings in 2026, with a higher walk rate but a favorable .256 BABIP. Kansas City also gains salary relief via the deal, and the Dodgers hope he can return around late August to help in the postseason run.
