Lawsuit Alleges Ed Brubaker Abused Production Assistant on Criminal Series
A production assistant filed a Los Angeles County Superior Court lawsuit accusing Ed Brubaker of sexual, racial, and religious harassment, discrimination, assault, battery, and defamation during work on Amazon Prime Video’s Criminal. The allegations include inappropriate questions, unwanted touching, ethnic slurs, and even a purported firearm incident; Noohu says he was barred from the set and denied credit after reporting misconduct. The suit names Brubaker, Amazon/MGM, Big Indie Pictures, and Philipp A. Barnett, casting a shadow over the series’ release, which has already faced delays and may be shelved. Brubaker, known for Criminal and other major credits, is prominently involved with the project.
