Xiaomi has announced the 17 Max, its flagship phone featuring a Leica-tuned camera system and a 6.9-inch flat display, with a May China launch and pre-orders already open. Leaks point to a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 200MP main camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto, an 8,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and symmetrical dual speakers, with color options including blue, black, white and carbon-fiber finishes and a starting price around CNY 5,199 (~$765).
Xiaomi has released early camera samples taken with the Xiaomi 14, showcasing its impressive photography capabilities. The flagship smartphone features a new 1/1.31-inch primary camera with a 23 mm equivalent focal length and an f/1.6 aperture, allowing for better low-light performance. The device also includes a telephoto camera with a floating lens and a 75 mm equivalent focal length. The images demonstrate detailed and focused shots, even of fast-moving objects. The Xiaomi 14 will be launched on October 26 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
