Severe storms with hurricane-force winds in Louisville caused a multi-day power restoration event, affecting about 120,000 LG&E and KU customers and resulting in nearly 1,000 downed wires. Around 700 workers from surrounding states are assisting in the restoration efforts. One person died after being hit by a tree.
